Pastor Don Wilson
St. John is blessed to have Rev. Don Wilson leading us in worship. Pastor Wilson came to St. John in May of 2018 to "fill in" and has been with us since. In June of 2019 we officially called him as our Interim Pastor.
Pastor Wilson was born in Newport News, VA in 1940 and grew up near West Point. He was in corporate relations before responding to a call to ordanined ministry. Graduating from VCU with a BA in History and a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, VA he was ordained Deacon and Elder in the United Methodist Church. After serving 35 years in the Virginia Annual Conference, Pastor Wilson retired in 2004. In retirement he has continued to serve as an Interim Pastor in various churches in the Virginia Beach area. He and his wife, Susan, have two grown children.
